SUPERMARKET OFFERING POPULAR Rx ANTIBIOTICS FOR FREE

Publix Super Markets is now offering a free prescriptiondrug program involving 7 oral antibiotics at the chain?s 684pharmacies in 5 states. These antibiotics account for nearly50% of the generic pediatric prescriptions at Publix.

The prescription antibiotics available under the programare amoxicillin, cephalexin, sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim,ciprofloxacin (excluding ciprofloxacin XR), penicillinVK, ampicillin, and erythromycin (excluding Ery-Tab).

The drug program provides the free antibiotics topatients regardless of their prescription-drug provider.Patients can receive up to a 14-day supply of the freeantibiotics after providing the pharmacy with their prescription.Publix is not limiting the number of prescriptionspatients can fill for free.
